This features make the upload and correction process of importing data more flexible while simultaneously improving data quality through automatic validation.
This feature is currently available for the following data rooms:
Scope 3.1/3.2 - Purchased goods and services
Scope 3.4 - Upstream transportation
Scope 3.9 - Downstream transportation
Scope 3.5 - Waste
Scope 3.6 - Business travel
Scope 3.7 - Employee commuting
1️⃣ Mapping external templates to the Global Changer template
From now on, you can also upload your own Excel files or templates that differ from our standard templates. The software supports you in mapping these files to our standard template.
This is how column mapping works in the software:
- During upload, the software automatically assigns the columns of your file to the corresponding fields in the system.
- Columns with identical names are automatically recognized and mapped.
- Columns with different names can easily be mapped manually.
- If you use our standard template, the mapping is already correctly configured, as long as the column names have not been changed.
2️⃣ Data validation & correction options
After upload, your data is automatically validated. The system checks, among other things, completeness and plausibility, and clearly highlights any entries that contain errors.
You then have two options:
- Make corrections directly within the software, or
- Download the erroneous data, correct it, and upload the updated file again.
