Extrapolated or Proxy Data

If real data isn’t available, you might use data from a similar source and adjust it to fit your scenario. While this is sometimes necessary, we always recommend working toward better primary data over time. AND it is the case for most companies to have some bits and pieces where they are using proxy data, so do not worry!

Tip: Our software can support you in generating extrapolations or proxy data, this is mostly the case in Scope 3.4 (transportation and logistics) and Scope 3.1 (purchasing of sold products), just reach out to our team.
